New Water Meter Connections

All application forms for new service connections are available at our Kwale County area offices (Ukunda, Msambweni, Lunga Lunga) at no cost. Our Customer Service Officers and other staff members stand ready to assist applicants with the completion of these forms and to facilitate the registration process.

Following the registration of the application forms and payment of the requisite survey fees, we will conduct a comprehensive survey of the customer’s premises within 24 hours (Kwale County’s fastest service) to assess the requirements for the new connection. Our team will also perform an inspection of any plumbing work carried out by the customer prior to initiating the service connection.

Once the necessary pipe-laying work has been completed, we will ensure that the water meter connection in Kwale County is established within one day. Each customer will be provided with a meter upon payment of a refundable deposit, per our established tariffs. The refund of this deposit will be processed within three days of account closure.

During the installation of the new connection, customers will receive detailed information on the proper maintenance of the service line, procedures to follow in the event of water leaks in Ukunda, Msambweni, or Lunga Lunga, and recommendations for the efficient use of water resources. Customers can expect to receive their first bill within one month of the connection date.
